Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is a private, nonprofit community-based health system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. The Postoperative Care/Trauma Unit Nurse role focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to surgical and trauma patients, in a 45-bed unit.

The RN provides care through collaboration with the healthcare team, mentors colleagues, adheres to nursing standards and Florida Nurse Practice Act, and supports TMH’s mission and ICARE values.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Two years RN experience preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in Florida (Nurse Practice Act).
• BLS/CPR certification from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a 45-bed postoperative/trauma unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and apply the nursing process.
• Lead, mentor, and role model for other team members.
• Coordinate and delegate care in a safe, secure, and clean environment.
• Respect patient rights, dignity, values, confidentiality, and expressed needs.
• Follow TMH policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act.
