Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Behavioral Health Nurse Educator in the EducationDepartment. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

The Behavioral Health Nurse Educator will partner with the behavioral health leadership team to assess learning needs and provide nursing education based on current evidence and best practices. This role will focus on providing education to behavioral health staff, as well as inpatient medical/surgical and emergency department staff, on mental health conditions, interventions and care plans. In this role, they will also participate in the planning and presentation of new employee orientation, nurse residency, annual clinical competencies, and other classroom based education offerings.
With the leadership of the Director/Manager, Patient Care Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor and the Medical Staff, the Behavioral HealthNurse Educatorwill partner with nurses at all levels and across the system to improve performance and clinical quality outcomes. TheEducator assesses learning needs of nursing staff; plans, develops, and implements programs to meet identified learning needs; conducts systematic studies and benchmarking activities; evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities; utilizes interactive processes in providing educational services which will contribute to exceeding the expectations of patients, physicians, families/significant others, and third party payers in the provision of high quality, cost-effective nursing services.Essential Job FunctionsRequired Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
