Job summary

Snowflake is recruiting for a backend-focused role in the Snowflake Postgres team. You will build and operate provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration for Snowflake Postgres instances, focusing on secure administration and reliable services.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in backend/distributed systems and strong skills in Java, Go, C++, or Python. Collaboration across product, security, and engineering is essential, with opportunities to mentor others and shape the system's

Qualifications

2+ years of production backend/distributed systems experience.
Strong programming skills in Java/Go/C++/Python.
CS fundamentals: concurrency, networking, APIs, and data structures.
Experience designing and operating reliable services in production.
Experience collaborating with product, security, and engineering teams.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services powering provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of Snowflake Postgres instances.
Develop access and user model features, including authorization and secure administration flows.
Improve reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems.
Partner with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver simple customer experiences on top of infrastructure.
Investigate production issues, participate in on-call, and drive fixes to improve resilience.
Contribute to technical design, code review, and mentoring to raise the engineering bar.
