Job summary

Snowflake is hiring for the Postgres team to build a managed Postgres experience inside Snowflake. You will work on provisioning, lifecycle management, security, and operator-facing features for Postgres in Snowflake.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, backend services, and collaboration with security and product teams. 2+ years in backend or distributed systems and experience with Java/Go/C++/Python are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production backend software in distributed environments.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, or Python.
• CS fundamentals include concurrency, networking, APIs and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services powering provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of Snowflake Postgres instances.
• Develop features for access control, secure administration flows, and customer-facing management.
• Improve reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems.
• Collaborate with product, security, and other teams to deliver simple experiences on complex infra.
• Investigate production issues, participate in on-call, and drive fixes for resilience.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and mentoring to raise the engineering bar.
