Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Scholar to join its College of Engineering. This position is available immediately and offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of electrochemistry/electrochemical engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting‑edge research in areas such as electrochemical systems, electrocatalysis, electrolysis, and energy storage and conversion. In this role, you will conduct high‑impact research, publish in leading journals, present findings at conferences, and collaborate with a dynamic team of faculty and students. You will also have opportunities to mentor students and contribute to proposal development, supporting the growth of a strong and externally funded research program. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in electrochemical techniques with a strong background in electrochemistry or electrochemical engineering. Additional experience with materials synthesis, or related experimental and modeling approaches will be considered a strong advantage.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or a closely related field. Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline is required. The doctoral degree must have been completed within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University. The individual cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.
