Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar in the Engineering department to conduct research on advanced characterization techniques for electrolytes at interfaces in batteries. The role includes mentoring students, reporting results to sponsors, and presenting findings at conferences and in journals.

The first year involves helping to set up the laboratory and acquire new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and development as a Post Doctoral Scholar in the laboratory led by Professor Kang Xu.
• Focuses on research in advanced characterization techniques related to electrolytes and interfaces in batteries.
• Develops innovative ways to apply characterization techniques to study liquid structure and interfacial behaviors in advanced electrolytes.
• Prepares and documents data, reports, conference and journal papers, and technical presentations.
• Mentors student employees, attends group meetings, and serves as laboratory manager.
• Assists in setting up the laboratory and acquiring new equipment in the first year.
