Qualifications

• PhD in a related field completed within the last few years.
• Hands-on experience synthesizing and/or processing battery materials (electrodes, electrolytes, or related composites).
• Practical experience assembling and testing electrochemical cells (e.g., coin cells) under inert-atmosphere conditions (glovebox operation).
• Ability to design and execute independent experiments, analyze data critically, and troubleshoot unexpected results.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate electrodes and assemble electrochemical cells under controlled conditions.
• Synthesize and process battery active materials using established and novel routes.
• Conduct electrochemical testing including galvanostatic cycling and impedance spectroscopy.
• Perform structural/interfacial characterization using XRD, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy.
• Plan experiments at synchrotron or user facilities and contribute to data collection.
• Mentor students and contribute to proposals and manuscripts.
