Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Polymer Science or related field with relevant experience.
  • Experience in polymer processing, 3D printing, and polymer characterization.
  • Familiarity with analytical chemistry methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Blend and compound polymeric blends of polyethylene with additives.
  • Process polymers using compression molding, extrusion and injection molding.
  • Post-processing such as radiation treatment or cross-linking or sterilization.
  • Characterize polymers using spectroscopy and thermal analysis.
  • Advanced Microscopy including Fluorescence, Confocal, Live imaging, and SEM/TEM.
  • Concentration and chemical analysis of eluents from polymers using HPLC and LC-MS.
  • Supervise biomedical research engineers in experimental work and presenting results.
  • Collaborate with team members supporting delivery device formulation and preclinical studies.
