Job summary

The Vallurupalli Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is recruiting postdoctoral fellows for wet-lab positions at the intersection of cancer immunology, glycobiology, and functional genomics. We welcome postdocs applying functional genomics to dissect leukemia and immune cell interactions.

Recent PhD/MD/MD-PhD in relevant fields is required. Located in Boston, Dana-Farber advances cancer research, HIV/AIDS, and public health with an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
• At least one first-author publication or a preprint.
• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
• Ability to drive a project independently, troubleshoot, and design experiments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret a program of independent wet-lab research with mentorship.
• Develop and optimize experimental systems including CRISPR screening platforms and glycoengineered cell models.
• Analyze high-dimensional datasets in collaboration with computational scientists.
• Present results at lab meetings and conferences.
• Prepare first-author manuscripts and contribute to collaborative projects.
• Contribute to fellowship and grant applications and pursue independent funding.
• Mentor research associates, graduate students, and summer scholars.
