Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Epigenetics and Chromatin Biology Lab. This role involves leading independent research on genome folding and contributing to a mentorship-driven lab environment.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD or MD, strong experimental and communication skills, and a demonstrated research background, ideally with a focus on epigenetics. Access to advanced research facilities and collaborative opportunities will be provided.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD or nearing completion.
• Strong motivation and excellent communication abilities.
• Research productivity evidenced by at least one publication or preprint.

Responsibilities

• Lead an independent project on cohesin‑mediated genome folding.
• Design and execute experiments; analyze and present findings.
• Mentor junior trainees and contribute to lab culture.
