Ph.D. or equivalent degree earned within the last five years. (This position is for 2 postdocs.)
The employee will have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the official start date and is expected to exercise independent scientific judgment daily. They will evaluate incoming information, including experimental data, field observations, written literature, and oral communications, to determine the strategic steps needed to advance the project. The Xiaojun Ren Lab investigates how gene activity is modulated through DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non‑coding RNAs, with a primary focus on higher‑order chromatin architecture. We pioneered live‑cell single‑molecule tracking to quantify epigenetic dynamics in real time. Our multidisciplinary approach integrates high‑resolution imaging with cutting‑edge genomics (CUT&RUN, Micro‑C, Hi‑C), proteomics, and CRISPR/Cas9 engineering to address key questions in chromatin biology.
MUST have experience in basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., molecular cloning, western blotting, qPCR, etc.) and cell culture. Experience in advanced imaging technologies and genomic approaches is preferred; candidates lacking such experience will receive training.
