Job summary

The Guldner Laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating brain aging, neurodegeneration, and intercellular communication. Design and lead projects at the interface of aging biology, neuroscience, proteostasis, neuroimmunology, and neurodegeneration, with opportunities for independence and collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree. Backgrounds include Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Aging Biology, Immunology, or Biochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and analyze original research projects independently and collaboratively.
• Develop and implement experimental approaches to address scientific questions.
• Interpret and communicate findings through publications, presentations, and meetings.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff scientists, postdocs, students, and external partners.
