Dr. Valerie Jones Taylor (PI, Stereotyping and Social Interactions Virtual Reality (SSI-VR) Lab) is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team between June and August 2024. The role involves empirical research on social identity threat and interracial interactions, utilizing traditional and VR methodologies. Responsibilities include designing experiments, data analysis, literature reviews, and disseminating findings. The position supports research on VR as an anti-racism tool and aims to improve cross-race interactions and social justice outcomes. Mentorship will be tailored to the candidate's interests. Responsibilities: designing and conducting experiments, data analysis, literature reviews, mixed-methods research including VR, writing papers, reports, and dissemination, and assisting in research coordination.
Eligibility: Demonstrated skills in psychological research from conceptualization to publication. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field, expected graduation by Summer 2024, are encouraged to apply. The position is full-time, for 2 years, with benefits and up to $1000 relocation assistance.
