Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate within the Radiation Cancer Biology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Associate position is to conduct independent laboratory research under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The research interest of the Montagna lab is to conduct cancer research affecting a variety of tissues to analyze experiments relative to the understanding of molecular mechanisms of tumor initiation and progression. The Montagna Lab at Rutgers Cancer Institute leverages multiple experimental approaches. Including single-cell genomics by next-generation sequencing, in situ single-cell analyses of DNA and RNA by Fluorescent in situ Hybridization ( FISH ), and CRISPR gene editing to induce genomic instability and study its consequences on tumor transformation and therapy response. The candidate will have the opportunity to join a highly translational laboratory that seeks to identify underlying mechanisms of tumorigenesis and translate these findings into improved personalized therapeutic strategies for treating breast and cervical cancer.
