Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the department of Neurology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the post-doctoral associate will work in a laboratory dedicated to studying the role of autophagy in normal cognition and how disruptions in this pathway contribute to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. A major focus of the laboratory is understanding the connection between synaptic dysfunction and cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease. The postdoctoral associate will utilize a variety of laboratory technologies and approaches. Specialized skills in molecular/cellular biology and animal model studies are needed for this position.
