Moffitt Cancer Center invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Dorina Avram within the Department of Immunology and Immuno-Oncology to study how transcriptional and epigenetic regulators shape tumor T lymphocyte programs.

The goal is to identify states that enable high T cell persistence and resistance to immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments, with reprogramming approaches to optimize cancer immunotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Study transcriptional and epigenetic regulators that control programs of tumor T lymphocytes.
• Identify favorable T cell programs that lead to higher persistence and resistance to immune suppressive tumor microenvironment.
• Reprogram T cells to states that enhance cancer immunotherapy outcomes.
• Work with patient-derived samples and mouse models using advanced molecular techniques such as transcriptomics, epigenomics, CRISPR-Cas9, multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial transcriptomics.
