Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a Research Scientist I to conduct and oversee experiments as part of a translational research team. This non-tenure track role focuses on research activities within the Mullinax Lab dedicated to anti-tumor immune responses and ACT with TIL for sarcoma.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge to implement immunological studies and provide scientific guidance, with leadership experience. Minimum two years postdoc or post-PhD experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years postdoctoral fellow or post PhD science experience in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and conducts studies applying findings to draw conclusions.
• Demonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
• Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Provides basic scientific/technical advice to individuals within a work group/project team.
• Will supervise less qualified and/or experienced professionals, technicians, or aides who assist in specific assignments.
