Qualifications

• Ph.D. in experimental physical science or engineering within the past five years.
• Experience with thin film synthesis by vapor deposition techniques.
• Familiarity with X-ray spectroscopy/scattering/diffraction methods (XPS/PES, XAS, XRD).
• Demonstrated ability to present results in papers and seminars.
• Ability to collaborate in a diverse multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional team.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize superconducting thin films and microfabricate quantum devices to advance qubit technologies.
• Investigate superconducting materials using synchrotron X-ray methods and electron microscopy to identify defects.
• Conduct low-temperature electrical characterization and benchmarking of devices.
• Correlate synthesis, processing, and characterization with device performance to improve coherence and scalability.
• Collaborate across the C2QA partnership and share findings via publications and talks.
