Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to work with the Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis (CEMAS) on atomic-scale structure and defects in materials relevant to superconducting and semiconducting qubits. You will use advanced electron microscopy techniques to study thin films and heterostructures at Fontana Laboratories.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Applied Physics or equivalent.
• Strong background in TEM/STEM characterization.
• Experience with EELS and diffraction contrast.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform TEM, 4D-STEM, electron ptychography, EELS, and SEM/EBSD on thin films/heterostructures.
• Correlate structural and chemical features with superconducting and electronic properties.
• Develop and apply data-analysis workflows for large microscopy datasets.
