Job summary

The Solecki Lab at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to develop and apply imaging-based biosensor platforms that visualize chromatin states in living neurons.

The goal is to observe chromatin-state dynamics in real time as neurons mature and assemble into brain circuits. Fellows will work at the interface of live-cell microscopy, chromatin biology, quantitative image analysis, and developmental neuroscience, using lattice light-sheet and/or super-resolution

Qualifications

• PhD in cell biology, biophysics, gene regulation, neuroscience or related discipline.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications.
• Experience with live-cell imaging and advanced microscopy techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply imaging-based biosensor platforms to visualize chromatin-state dynamics in living neurons.
• Optimize biosensor performance, microscopy acquisition, and quantitative analysis pipelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to drive discovery in chromatin biology and neurodevelopment.
