Job summary
The Solecki Lab seeks postdoctoral fellows to build experimental frameworks for understanding neuronal maturation, chromatin-state dynamics, polarity transitions, and circuit assembly. You will work with live-cell biosensors, advanced microscopy, and quantitative image analysis to uncover how intracellular transitions unfold as neurons mature.
Successful candidates will develop new imaging probes and perturbation methods, publish first-author work, and present at meetings.
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline is required.
- Experience with live-cell imaging, super-resolution microscopy, and imaging probe development is essential.
- Proficiency in Python or R for quantitative data analysis is expected.
- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and independent project design is needed.
Responsibilities
- Carry out independent research projects using live-cell biosensors, advanced microscopy, neuronal differentiation systems, and acute perturbations to study intracellular state transitions in developing neurons.
- Perform quantitative image analysis and contribute to probe, assay, and imaging strategy development to reveal previously invisible cellular processes.
- Present findings in seminars and publish first-author papers, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
