Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to advance precision therapies at the intersection of cellular senescence biology, fibrosis, and immune-based therapeutics. Your work will contribute to a high-visibility research program and open new therapeutic avenues in the senolytics space.

The role spans cellular models, in vivo fibrosis models, and human tissue, with opportunities to publish as first author and present at major conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Aging Biology, or closely related field.
  • Experience with cellular senescence and fibrosis or related areas such as aging biology, immunology or analytical approaches.
  • Strong publication record demonstrating scientific productivity and independence.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and characterize models of cellular senescence in fibrotic lung disease.
  • Identify cell-surface markers distinguishing pathological senescent cells.
  • Develop immune effector-based strategies to eliminate senescent cells.
  • Evaluate senolytic efficacy in human tissue and in vivo models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners; present findings at conferences.
