Job summary

Bayer Crop Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist in Functional Genome Engineering in Missouri, Chesterfield. You will bridge wet lab and computational biology to identify targets and pathways, and lead high-throughput genetic perturbation screens in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will design experiments, analyze complex data, and help advance decision-making across the pipeline with a focus on safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a biological or biomedical field, molecular/cell biology, genetics or genomics, bioinformatics, or similar area.
• Proven experience with CRISPR screens or related gene perturbation technologies using pooled or targeted approaches.
• Experience with next-generation transcriptomics analysis or a related area.
• Experience working in an AWS cloud computing environment and proficiency in Python, R, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute genetic perturbation screens in organisms of interest and cell lines.
• Establish and optimize gene perturbation tools and reagents for various applications.
• Conduct in-depth data analyses and design controlled experiments with cross-functional partners.
