Job summary

Bayer Crop Science seeks a Postdoctoral Scientist in Functional Genome Engineering to bridge wet-lab and computational biology. You will design genetic perturbation screens and establish robust genome editing workflows across organisms of interest.

You will analyze complex data, collaborate with cross-functional partners, document findings, and stay current with literature while adhering to safety and inclusion standards. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology/biomed field or related area.
• Experience with CRISPR screens or gene perturbation technologies.
• Experience with next-generation transcriptomics analysis.
• Experience in AWS cloud environment and programming in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute genetic perturbation screens across organisms and cell lines.
• Establish and optimize gene perturbation tools and reagents for various applications.
• Conduct in-depth data analyses and design controlled experiments with cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate implementation of analyses to enable project success and pipeline innovation.
• Maintain detailed records and stay current with literature while upholding safety and inclusion standards.
