Job summary

Bayer in Missouri's Chesterfield area seeks a Master’s or Ph.D. candidate to join the Precision Genomics Analytics team, collaborating with scientists, IT, and engineering to optimize DNA genotyping workflows and build an analytics-driven product pipeline.

You will apply advanced models, machine learning, and operations research to deliver insights, recommendations, and solutions, presenting validated stories to stakeholders and enabling cross-functional decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Intermediate proficiency in computational skills and experience building data models using R, Python, or other statistical packages.
• Strong proficiency in predictive modeling and ML concepts.
• Experience delivering analysis with domain knowledge and business acumen.
• Strong communication skills for presenting analyses to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maximize use of genomics data and metadata to support high-throughput workflows.
• Independently perform bioinformatic analysis and experimental design.
• Maintain and use advanced bioinformatic pipelines and databases for mining and visualizing large genomic data sets.
• Contribute technically in a fast-paced team to accelerate analytics-driven product pipeline.
• Develop reporting on analysis inputs/outputs, interpretation, business impact, and KPIs.
• Present validated stories to peers, senior management, and internal customers to drive strategic changes.
• Build cross-functional relationships for effective collaboration across organizations.
