Job summary

Forschungszentrum Jülich seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on FDSOI devices for neuromorphic computing. You will design, fabricate, and characterize advanced devices, optimize fabrication processes in a modern cleanroom, and perform electrical analysis to advance device performance and TCAD simulations.

You will collaborate with an international team and publish results in high-impact journals, supporting transfer to a startup and promotion of practical neuromorphic technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field; PhD advantageous.
• Hands‑on experience in semiconductor device fabrication and cleanroom processing.
• Experience with electrical characterization and data analysis of semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge of TCAD simulation is an advantage.
• Excellent-English communication in an international research environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and characterize advanced FDSOI devices for neuromorphic computing applications.
• Develop and optimize semiconductor fabrication processes in a state‑of‑the‑art cleanroom.
• Perform electrical characterization and analyze device performance.
• Support device simulation and optimization using TCAD tools.
• Publish research results and present at international conferences.
