Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Instrumentation and Control Engineering for the Department of Plant Optimization. The role supports digital technologies for the nuclear power sector, including ML and robotics, in a 9x80 schedule at the Idaho Falls facility.

The candidate will write manuscripts, present findings, and contribute to R&D with project managers and PIs. Strong English communication and a PhD are required.

Formación

• PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear Engineering or comparable disciplines.
• PhD finished by commencement and within the previous 5 years.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written).
• Experience in digital I&C design, PLC/DCS, embedded devices, and industrial networks.
• Programming or engineering tools such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW.

Responsabilidades

• Publish manuscripts for journal publication and milestone reports.
• Present research findings at conferences and meetings.
• Develop and test digital I&C systems and experimental testbeds.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary R&D projects in nuclear power applications.
