Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop AI-enabled immune digital twin and organ-damage mechanistic models. Under PI Dr. James A. Glazier, you will map clinical biomarkers to model states and deliver model packages for consortium partners and publications.

You will focus on fast, interpretable modules linking immune dynamics to organ injury, while contributing to test cases, model cards, and research papers in critical care biology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in quantitative, computational, or biomedical discipline.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Julia, R, or MATLAB; background in mechanistic modeling (ODE/dynamical systems, QSP, or agent-based).
• Familiarity with inflammation, cytokine signaling, sepsis, or critical care biology.

Responsibilities

• Develop biologically meaningful, interpretable model components linking immune-state dynamics to organ-damage risk (lung, kidney, liver).
• Collaborate with national consortium partners, write technical publications, and prepare milestone-ready contract deliverables.
