Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an RN to join the H6 Post-Surgical Progressive Care Unit at the Akron Campus. This full-time role involves caring for orthopedic, bariatric, neuro-spine, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients in the immediate post-operative period.

The unit is a 36-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and a supportive team. Opportunities include a $5/hr night shift differential, $1/hr weekend differential, and a 12-month residency for new grads.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio RN license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate and/or delegate nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and nursing theory to ensure high-quality care.
• Manage unit resources and communicate with care teams to maintain patient safety.

ACLS certification

Basic Life Support

Nursing licensure Ohio (RN)
