Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington in Arlington, TX seeks a Certified Nurse Aide for its Post-Surgical Unit in a PRN Days schedule. The CNA will assist patients under supervision, handle basic clerical tasks, and support RNs with routine patient care and safety.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CNA certification, and current CPR certification; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
• Performs clinical duties under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing IV catheters, etc.
• Cleans rooms if needed.
• Assists RNs as instructed.
• Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.
