Job summary

Summer Search Boston is seeking a Post‑Secondary Mentor to guide high school seniors and first‑year graduates toward college, vocational tracks, or workforce pathways. You will mentor 17‑24 year‑olds with trauma‑informed, SEL‑based approaches within a four‑person post‑secondary team.

The role emphasizes building individualized plans, coordinating with partners, and using Salesforce for data tracking. The position is hybrid, with in‑office and remote work in the greater Boston area.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience serving first‑generation students from low‑income backgrounds.
• Group facilitation experience strongly desired.
• Academic or applied knowledge of adolescent development and/or restorative/transformative justice is a plus.
• Proficiency with databases/CRM systems and Excel; Salesforce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a caseload of 30–35 seniors in their final year of high school.
• Provide 1:1 mentoring monthly and group mentoring workshops.
• Revise and tailor workshops to cohort needs; track progress with partners.
• Support post‑secondary pathway advising and career coaching as needed.
• Manage data collection and reporting in Salesforce to meet program metrics.
