Job summary

State Street is seeking a Cryptographic Agility & Post-Quantum (PQC) Engineer to lead enterprise cryptographic modernization, focusing on quantum threat preparedness, inventory management, and migration planning across applications and infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong foundation in cryptography, security engineering, and PKI
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, encryption, or related field with enterprise experience
• Experience with cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and controls in large environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform/Jenkins/Ansible

Responsibilities

• Mature and lead the enterprise Cryptographic Agility program to address evolving cryptographic risks and standards
• Develop and maintain an inventory of cryptographic assets, dependencies, algorithms, certificates, keys, and related tech across apps, platforms, and infra
• Identify systems using deprecated cryptography and define remediation and migration strategies
• Evaluate PQC standards and technologies with emphasis on NIST approved algorithms and best practices
• Define migration paths and implementation guidance for application and platform teams
• Collaborate with EA, platform engineering, PKI, and infra teams to assess cryptographic readiness
• Pilot PQC-enabled technologies and validate enterprise adoption
• Produce metrics and executive reporting on cryptographic risk and migration progress
