Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Post-Op/Ortho to join our full-time day schedule. You will assist with daily living activities, provide direct patient care, and observe patient conditions in a busy orthopedic/post-op setting.

Your responsibilities include documenting patient status, communicating changes to the nursing team, and assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed. A HS diploma and BLS are required with CNAs preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide direct patient care or assist with it.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in condition to nursing staff and suggest plan modifications.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and EKGs as needed.
