Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced RN Transplant Coordinator to manage the full transplant process. You will coordinate pre-transplant evaluations, monitor waitlists, and facilitate communication between patients, families, and the transplant team.

Responsibilities include organizing surgeries, providing education and post‑transplant follow‑up, coordinating donor procurement logistics, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• RN required with current license.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year leadership experience required.
• 1+ year transplant or critical care experience preferred.

Job Description

• Coordinates pre-transplant evaluations and assessments.
• Manages the transplant waiting list and patient status updates.
• Facilitates communication between patients, families, and the transplant team.
• Organizes and schedules transplant surgeries and related procedures.
• Provides education and support to patients and families throughout the transplant process.
• Monitors post-transplant recovery and follow‑up care.
• Manages donor organ procurement and transportation logistics.
• Communicates the schedule for stem cell collections/harvest with the dialysis department.
• Coordinates with the blood bank to facilitate designated donor and pheresis blood products for the patient.
• Coordinates pre‑and post‑bone marrow transplant evaluations for the patient and donor, when applicable.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to transplant coordination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
