Key Responsibilities
  • Research computer databases, public records, tax and legal filings, and other available sources to locate individuals and identify the best-known addresses for recovery and service of process.

  • Prepare and sort legal documents, subpoenas, and court packets; coordinate with process server vendors to obtain service.
  • Prepare and submit documents through court e-filing systems as directed, and track filing confirmations or items requiring follow-up.

  • Enter new and updated account information, compile and verify data, and maintain accurate case notes and records.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, coworkers, courts, and vendors to obtain information and resolve case or scheduling issues.
  • Use available resources to solve problems independently, consider alternative approaches within approved procedures, and seek guidance when an issue exceeds assigned authority.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and payment processing, and identify discrepancies for follow-up.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, protect confidential information, and support efficient records management.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including typing, answering phones, and assisting with related team projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow business procedures and written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and follow through with minimal ongoing supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Ability to coordinate schedules, maintain calendars, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Resourcefulness, critical thinking, and the ability to think outside the box while working within established procedures.
  • Basic computer, typing, and data entry skills; ability to navigate databases and learn case management systems.
  • Familiarity with court e-filing systems and electronic document submission.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook skills, including email, calendar management, and meeting invitations.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including entering and updating data, sorting information, and maintaining simple tracking spreadsheets.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
