Lotane & Associates, P.A. in Cocoa, FL is seeking a Collections Agent to support debt recovery efforts. This in-office role requires dialing debtors, negotiating repayment plans, and maintaining compliant records while delivering professional service to clients.

You will handle high-volume calls, adhere to FDCPA and state laws, and collaborate with teams to achieve recovery goals. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with breaks and weekends off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• FDCPA, HIPAA, and state laws knowledge preferred.
• Minimum of one year of collections or call center experience.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume calls and meet performance goals.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with dialer systems and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Use a dialer system to contact debtors and discuss overdue accounts.
• Negotiate and establish payment arrangements based on financial situations.

About the Role

As a Collections Agent at Lotane & Associates, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients by recovering outstanding debts. This position involves contacting debtors by phone, negotiating repayment arrangements, and resolving delinquent accounts in a professional and compliant manner. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to navigate sensitive conversations effectively while maintaining a results-driven approach. Success in this role requires consistency, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving recovery outcomes. This is an in-office position, not a remote opportunity based in Cocoa, FL. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break and two paid 15-minute breaks. Enjoy your evenings and weekends off.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize a dialer system to contact debtors regarding overdue accounts

• Process credit card and ACH payments accurately and securely
• Assess financial situations to recommend appropriate payment solutions
• Represent clients professionally while pursuing debt recovery
• Perform basic skip-tracing to locate and contact debtors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional certifications in collections or related fields are a plus
• Knowledge of FDCPA, HIPAA, and applicable state laws preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of collections or call center experience
• Proven ability to manage high-volume calls and meet performance goals
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally
• Proficiency with dialer systems and CRM software
