Job summary

Wick Buildings is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to lead a post-frame construction crew in Des Moines, IA. This hands-on leadership role requires CDL eligibility, post-frame construction know-how, and a keen focus on safety and quality.

As a Foreman, you will direct field operations, read plans, train crew members, and maintain strong communication with customers and vendors while driving safety and efficiency on every job.

Qualifications

• Post-frame construction experience or similar heavy construction background.
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtainClass A CDL.
• Proven leadership and crew supervision experience.
• Commitment to workplace safety and ability to identify and correct hazards.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite operations and maintain safety as the top priority.
• Direct daily activities, assign work, and coordinate crew productivity.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Ensure projects meet Wick Buildings quality standards and safety requirements.
• Train and develop crew members and set clear expectations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and management.
