Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. in Watertown, SD is hiring to expand our construction crews. Earn $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, paid weekly, with potential bonuses and an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

Under the guidance of your crew foreman you will read and build from construction plans, use various tools, and perform tasks such as digging footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows and doors, and applying siding/roofing materials. Travel up to 40% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction or carpentry preferred.
• Ability to participate in and complete a training program.
• Willingness to travel and work 9–10 hour days during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply safety and construction procedures and standards.
• Read, understand and construct according to plans.
• Use tools and equipment to safely build structures.
• Perform footing digging, framing, and installation of doors, siding, and roofing materials.
• Maintain safety and respect in a collaborative crew environment.
