The successful candidate will conduct research at the intersectionof artificial intelligence (AI), process-based modeling, andextreme-event science. The postdoctoral researcher will develop andapply advanced modeling approaches to investigate extreme events,such as flooding and wildfires, and assess their impacts onecosystems, environmental systems, and human communities. Thepostdoctoral researcher will be expected to contribute to modeldevelopment and evaluation, data analysis, manuscript preparation,presentation of research results at scientific conferences, andcollaboration with interdisciplinary research teams.
MQ: Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advancedprofessional discipline or the highest level of general businessknowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directlyjob-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in arecognized field of specialization that is directly related to thetype of work being performed.
