Position: Post-Doctoral Associate in Otolaryngology
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Available from: April 30, 2025
As a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Santa Maria Lab within the Department of Otolaryngology, your research will focus on understanding immune mechanisms involved in various types of hearing loss, including those caused by infections, noise, tumors, and autoimmune diseases. The lab has established an Immune-Mediated Inner Ear Disease Center to address these conditions. Your responsibilities include conducting experiments, manuscript and grant writing, collaborating with scientists and students, and supervising junior team members. The role is supervised by Research Professor Dr. Xia.
You will be encouraged to publish research findings, attend seminars, pursue professional development, and present at scientific meetings. Support is available through the Center for Postdoctoral Affairs in the Health Sciences (postdoc@hs.pitt.edu).
