Lockt is a post‑production company built for a new generation of media. Lockt is known for streamlining the entire post process under one roof to provide efficiencies and collaboration between clients and creative. Lockt’s range of services span offline and online editing, sound design and mix, motion graphics, generative AI, VFX, music supervision, licensing, and finishing.
Lockt Post Coordinators are responsible for the execution of every planned post workflow. They take the post production approach, resources, and budget established by the EP or Sr. Producer to ensure it’s successfully delivered upon; partnering with the Creative team and Client as needed to achieve that.
Role/Responsibilities
- Be the right‑hand person to your Executive Producer, Sr Post Producer, Account Manager, and/or Media Manager on all assigned projects.
- Build knowledge across all aspects of the post process by supporting them in resourcing, project management, and organization.
- Take point on some internal communication on a project and grow to do the same with Client communications.
- Learn and support the technical systems, workflows and technology that makes the Post Production process function.
- Work with our Media Manager to learn the data management process, including liaising with production to ensure capture is optimized for post needs.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with Lockt editorial and sound teams.
- Build up your network of freelance editors, artists and vendors.
- Research, check availability and rates with freelancers and/or vendors when directed.
- Hone your skills working with different styles and personalities.
- Learn how to manage budgets, calendars, and resources. Support with tracking all costs related to the project, ensure documentation is organized and provided to the finance team in a timely manner.
- Support with tracking all licensing and permissions or releases needed for the project and ensure all is organized and communicated to internal BA and Client before project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience: 1‑3+ years in a fast‑paced post‑production environment. Previous experience as a Post PA or Assistant Coordinator is highly preferred.
- Technical Foundation: A strong grasp of post‑production workflows, including Editorial, Motion Graphics, VFX, Audio, Finishing, Licensing, etc.
- Organizational Excellence: Proven administrative and organizational experience within a Post, Production, or Creative Development environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, quickly read people and work with different personalities.
- Relationship Building: Ability to cultivate and maintain trusted professional relationships with clients, internal teams and external vendors.
- Industry Passion: Deep interest and curiosity in Post Production and new age workflows - Editorial, VFX, MGX, Sound Design, and Generative AI.
