Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking a Post Closing Specialist to audit real estate loan documentation, ensuring TRID/TILA/RESPA compliance under SECU policies. You will verify signed packages, support documentation, and closing fees, and maintain records through loan boarding and storage.

You will also liaise with internal departments and closing agents to resolve discrepancies, re-disclose as needed, and respond to inquiries from members and staff. Hybrid work is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or related fields; 3 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Understanding of federal regulatory lending guidelines including Reg B, Reg Z, Reg P, UDaaP
• Ability to learn additional guidelines (C, X, HMDA, HFIAA, SAFE Act)
• Familiarity with Mortgage Origination/Servicing systems and MS Office (Excel/Access)
• Ability to read/digitize and manage PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to manage and navigate phone queue software and coordinate across teams

Responsibilities

• Complete audit review of executed real estate closing packages and supporting documentation to verify regulatory compliance and SECU policies.
• Audit SECU closing fees and escrow disbursements against the settlement summary and Closing Disclosure/HUD; report discrepancies and re-disclose as needed.
• Track trailing documentation and corrections; maintain clear records and organize physical documentation before storage.
• Communicate with internal departments and external closing agents to resolve discrepancies and re-execute documents as needed.
• Field inquiries regarding closing documentation and loan disbursements from members, internal teams, and closing agents
