Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Post Cast Process Owner to ensure post cast manufacturing processes meet specifications and remain in control. The role involves leading improvements, training operators, and performing data analysis to drive quality and efficiency.

The candidate should have an engineering degree and 2+ years in manufacturing operations or CI, with ability to access export-controlled items. On-site at Hampton, VA with occasional off-shift hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Two years' experience manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement.
• Must be able to provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Access to export-controlled items requires lawful eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Modify and/or approve work instructions for post cast processes.
• Monitor post cast processes to ensure stability and control.
• Perform regular MSAT audits on post cast processes.
• Determine root cause of deviations and develop corrective plans.
• Work with cross-functional teams to reduce scrap and costs in post cast processes.
• Assist with development and implementation of new materials and techniques.
• Assist with training of operators for new methods or instructions.
• Perform data retrieval and analysis using Excel, PowerBI, and other systems.
• Be flexible to work off-shift hours and weekends for training or support.
• Other duties to support Process Owner team.
