Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking qualified candidates for the Post Bond Assembly position on the 3rd shift in Dayton, OH. The role supports the Post Bond area and contributes to high-quality aerospace components manufacturing.

The successful candidate will read and interpret instructions, perform precise assembly tasks, maintain documentation, and adhere to safety and quality standards while collaborating with engineering and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, and operating procedures.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and conformance to customer requirements.
  • Builds strong working relationships and supports teamwork.
  • Flexible to changing assignments and willingness to perform any function.
  • Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime with limited notice.
  • Effective communication with management and co-workers.
  • Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles aerospace components utilizing a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Supports Post Bond by performing duties in the area when required.
  • Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and proper movement of product.
  • Ensures equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures.
  • Proactively improves area processes, procedures and documentation through Kaizen activities and collaboration with area leadership and Engineering.
  • Performs all required preventative maintenance activities.
  • Aids in preparation for and participates in all required area audits.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Other assignments as required.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assembles aerospace components utilizing a variety of tools and equipment
  • Supports Post Bond by performing job duties in the area when required
  • Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product
  • Ensures all equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures
  • Proactively improves area processes, procedures and documentation through Kaizen activities and collaboration with area leadership and Engineering
  • Performs all required preventative maintenance activities
  • Aid in preparation for and participates in all required area audits
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Other assignments as required
Qualifications
  • Capable of reading and understanding written instructions and or procedures, to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Self motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and committed to ensuring product quality and conformance to customer requirements
  • Builds strong working relationships and creates an environment focused on teamwork
  • Flexible with changing work and job assignments and willingness to perform any function as needed.
  • Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime with limited notice
  • Able to communicate effectively with management, co-workers and perform simple problem solving activities
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.
Education Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or similar work environment
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred
