Job summary

Parker Hannifin’s Dayton facility, part of the Engineered Materials Group, is seeking a Pre-Bonding Associate for the 3rd shift. You will read drawings, set up processing equipment, and help ensure quality and safety in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate across teams, document processes, and support continuous improvement efforts while handling hazardous materials in accordance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow manufacturing documents to produce conforming products
• Set up and operate equipment for chemical processing and related prep activities
• Perform cleaning of products as needed
• Complete paperwork to ensure quality conformance and proper movement of product
• Ensure equipment and materials comply with procedures
• Support Kaizen improvements with area leadership and engineering
• Assist with hazardous waste storage and disposal
• Perform preventative maintenance activities
• Assist in area audits and safety adherence
• Other duties as assigned

Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Essential Job Functions

• Read, interpret and follow manufacturing documentation including prints and routers to ensure the production of conforming products
• Sets up and operates manual and automated equipment for chemical processing, media blasting, cleaning, priming, adhesive application and other related preparation activities
• Performs cleaning of product as necessary
• Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product
• Ensures all equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures
• Proactively improves area processes, procedures and documentation through Kaizen activities and collaboration with area leadership and Engineering
• Responsible for the proper storage and disposition of hazardous waste
• Performs all required preventative maintenance activities
• Aid in preparation for and participates in all required area audits
• Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
• Other assignments as required

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
• Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
• Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required
• Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook
• Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
• Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.

Education Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar work environment
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred
