Job summary

Albert & Mackenzie, LLP in California is seeking a Law Clerk to support our workers’ compensation defense team. This full-time role offers remote work or assignment to one of our California offices, with compensation of $75,000 per year and a monthly electronics reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will have a law degree, be planning to take the July 2028 CA Bar Exam, and possess strong writing and research skills.

(Must be planning to take the July 2028 California Bar Exam. Must have passed the MPRE and received Moral Character determination approval by the time the position begins in September 2028)

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A law degree from an accredited law school
• Excellent writing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Dropbox or other shared cloud storage
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, clients, and employees; maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact; work independently in the absence of specific instruction
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation: $75,000/year for full-time, plus a $50 monthly electronics reimbursement

Location : Remote OR from one of our office locations: Agoura Hills, Encino, Oxnard, Ontario, Anaheim, San Diego

Note: The ideal candidate will be hard-working, inquisitive, and willing to take initiative. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. A law degree and pending California State Bar results are required.
