Albert & Mackenzie, a respected California workers' compensation defense firm, seeks a Law Clerk to support attorneys with research, drafting, and case preparation. The position includes training, professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key duties include negotiating with lien claimants, managing case files, writing client reports, and summarizing recent case law. Applicants must plan to take the July 2028 California Bar Exam and have passed the MPRE with Morals/Character

• A law degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Dropbox or other shared cloud storage.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, clients, and employees; maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact; work independently in the absence of specific instruction.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

(Must be planning to take the July 2028 California Bar Exam. Must have passed the MPRE and received Moral Character determination approval by the time the position begins in September 2028)

Compensation:

$75,000/year for full-time, plus a $50 monthly electronics reimbursement

Location

Remote OR from one of our office locations: Agoura Hills, Encino, Oxnard, Ontario, Anaheim, San Diego

Note: The ideal candidate will be hard-working, inquisitive, and willing to take initiative. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. A law degree and pending California State Bar results are required.
