Job summary

Ellison Bakery in Fort Wayne, Indiana is seeking a Post Bake Operator to support ongoing production of industrial bakery equipment and packaging. The role involves wrapping, labeling, and meeting daily production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will read and follow detailed instructions, work independently, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Some weekend work may be required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow direction; pass all Food Safety and Safety courses in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers with decimals.
• Ability to read computer screens and enter data.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Work independently with self-management.
• Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
• Follow food safety and safety programs.
• Complete required Alchemy courses throughout the year.
• Ensure cookies are wrapped/bagged and fix machine settings as needed.
• Seal-out boxed product with correct labeling for storage and shipping.
• Execute the daily production schedule and process orders in sequence.
• Ensure packaging materials and information are correct.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and utensils and equipment.
• Monitor packaging and weight/count requirements and equipment performance.
• Accurately maintain batch and materials records and deviations.
• Monitor automated equipment to verify proper function.
