JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Agricultural Sciences seeks to hire an energetic and experienced Post-Award Senior Research Administrator in the Office for Research and Graduate Education.

The Proposal and Award Generalist manages sponsored programs, reviews awards for specific items related to faculty, department, and college/unit, informs personnel of contractual requirements, ensures compliance with university guidelines, and provides research administration training.

  • Prepare requests for fund and account setup, including advance fund numbers, cost centers, and cost sharing accounts.
  • Prepare and submit budgets for awarded funds, adjustments, and close-out transfers.
  • Handle tasks related to labor distribution and effort confirmation.
  • Review expenditures, approve personnel appointments on sponsored funds, and run financial reports.
  • Manage subawards, facilitate material transfers, and assist with equipment reporting.
  • Serve as an expert on complex award types, including multi-unit and interdisciplinary awards, and manage multi-site clinical trials or field activities.
  • Resolve issues, implement process improvements, and potentially supervise staff.

This position is fully remote.

Education and Experience:

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree plus six or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination. Knowledge of government regulations and university policies related to sponsored research is essential. Preferred qualifications include approval as an Authorized Organizational Representative and proficiency in grant reporting tools like SIMS or SIMBA.

Strong self-management, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial. The role demands flexibility, independence, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment. We encourage driven and adaptable candidates committed to excellence to apply.

Additional Information:
