Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College is seeking a Post-Award Grants Coordinator to support administrative coordination and the financial aspects of various grants in compliance with GAAP, grant regulations, and award terms. The role focuses on analytical oversight across multiple funds, including indirect funds.

The position collaborates with grant program coordinators, the Finance department, and the Foundation to ensure accurate financial coding, reporting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• One year of federal/state grant writing/management/reporting experience.
• One year of accounting tasks experience (AP/AR/general ledger/Cash handling).
• One year of experience generating reports and reconciling accounts.
• Proficient in operating a 10-key with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with grant program coordinators and Finance to monitor grant expenditures against budgets and guidelines.
• Adhere to deadlines for invoicing, financial reporting, and related grant activities.
• Coordinate administrative processes for assigned grant accounts.
• Prepare progress reports documenting program activities and fund expenditures.
• Support post-award financial functions including coding, accounting requirements, and policy changes.
• Gather required documentation for submissions and assist with payments and expenditures documentation.
• Serve as liaison between external grant agencies and college personnel.
• Monitor equipment procurement through grants and perform grant closeout activities including reconciliations.
• Assist in grant audits by providing documentation and support.
• Provide high level customer service and develop internal/external relationships.
• Participate in grant training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director of the Foundation or President.
